DRYER VENT MEDIC LLC: SERVICE AGREEMENT & TERMS OF USE

Governing Law: 815 ILCS 513 (Illinois Home Repair and Remodeling Act)


1. SCOPE OF SERVICES

Dryer Vent Medic LLC (the "Company") provides professional maintenance, cleaning, and repair for home ventilation systems. Services include, but are not limited to:


  • Dryer Exhaust Systems: Cleaning, repair, and installation of the external wall duct and transition hose.
  • Appliance Interior Cleaning: Cleaning of the dryer and internal venting components to remove lint.
  • Other Ventilation: Bathroom exhaust vent cleaning and bird nest/debris removal.
  • Estimates: In accordance with Illinois law, any quote provided is an estimate. If the actual cost exceeds the estimate by more than 10%, a written Change Order must be signed by the Client before work continues.


2. COMMUNICATIONS & SMS CONSENT

By providing your phone number and engaging our services, you agree to the following communication terms:


  • Program Description: Dryer Vent Medic LLC uses text messaging to send appointment reminders, "on-my-way" notifications, digital invoices, and service updates.
  • Opt-In: You consent to receive these messages by submitting a service request via our website or Jobber portal.
  • Opt-Out: You may cancel the SMS service at any time by texting "STOP". After you send "STOP", we will send a confirmation message and cease further SMS communications.
  • Assistance: For assistance, reply with the keyword HELP or call us at (815) 277-9491.
  • Rates: Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies based on your service schedule.


3. ILLINOIS CONSUMER RIGHTS & CANCELLATION

Pursuant to the Illinois Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Business Practices Act:



  • 3-Day Right to Cancel: If this agreement is signed at your residence, you have the right to cancel this contract within three (3) business days. Written notice must be provided to the Company by midnight of the third business day.
  • Consumer Rights Pamphlet: For any project exceeding $1,000, the Client acknowledges they have been provided with the Illinois Home Repair: Know Your Consumer Rights Pamphlet.


4. SERVICE CONDITIONS & LIABILITY

Internal Appliance Cleaning: While we perform deep cleaning of the dryer cabinet and internal components, this is a maintenance service. The Company is not responsible for pre-existing mechanical or electrical failures of the dryer (e.g., faulty heating elements, worn bearings, or control board issues).


Non-Code Materials: The Company is not liable for the failure of existing plastic, foil, or "slinky" transition ducts that do not meet current Illinois fire codes. We strongly recommend replacement of these materials with rigid metal ducting.


Hidden Conditions: The Company is not responsible for damage resulting from pre-existing brittle, rusted, or improperly installed internal wall ducting that fails during standard high-pressure or brush cleaning.


5. INSURANCE & LEGAL

Insurance: Company maintains public liability and property damage insurance exceeding Illinois state minimums (815 ILCS 513/25).


Mechanic’s Lien Notice: NOTICE TO OWNER: Under the Illinois Mechanic’s Lien Act, any person who provides labor or materials for the improvement of your property may have a right to record a lien against your property if they are not paid.


6. PRIVACY POLICY

Your privacy is important to us. Mobile information will not be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
